Insurance
Treatment
at Pediatric Rehabilitation, Inc. is covered by most major medical
insurance plans. We ask that all patients provide our receptionist
with pertinent insurance information prior to their first visit.
Financial arrangements are available, and a sliding fee scale is
available for private pay patients. Please contact our on-site billing
office with any questions.
As a service,
Pediatric Rehabilitation, Inc., processes all medical claims, including
billing insurances. Our experienced insurance staff assists patients
in any way possible, keeping in mind that we must always honor the
contract terms between clients and insurance providers.

What
is:
Pediatric
Physical Therapist (P.T.)
A therapist who specializes in children and works with the development
of large motor skills, movement, orthopedic concerns, posture, scoliosis,
balance coordination , and strength.
Pediatric
Occupational Therapist (O.T.)
A therapist who specializes in children improving fine motor skills,
(relating to the use of small muscles of the body such as hands
and fingers) adaptive skills and visual skills.
Pediatric
Speech/Language Pathologist
A therapist who specializes in children to improve speech and language
skills -- what a child can understand and use such as gestures,
words and written symbols to communicate as well as gain strength
and control of the oral motor (the area of the face and mouth) needed
for feeding and talking.

is:
Neurodevelopmentaltreatment
(NDT)
A specialized therapy approach that concentrates on encouraging
near- normal functional movement patterns. Used by Physical, Occupational
and Speech Therapist.
Sensory
Integration (SI)
Treatment techniques to assist the nervous system to process and
learn from sensations such as touch, sound, light, smell and movement.
Evaluation
or Assessment
The process to determine a child's disabilities, strengths and weaknesses.
This includes testing and observations performed by a trained therapist.
This is used to assess the need for intervention and to develop
treatment plans specific to the child's needs.
